All ICB UI/UX assets are created with Ontologically Coherent Design (OCD) in mind. OCD prioritizes rigor, coherence and perfection. The principles of ICBOCD design are as follows:
- ISO standard date/time format across all our services (YYYY/MM/DD-HH:MM:SS).
- Superset always nests subset (i.e. “maths, equation, quadratic” over “maths, quadratic, equation” since “quadratic” is a subset of “equation” and not vice versa).
- Removal of odd numbers unless necessary and give preference to multiples of 10.
- Material design (extends Google Material Design principles).
- Coherent grammar and precise linguistic syntax (i.e. preference to “the alarm went on so we turned it off” over using “the alarm went off so we turned it off“).
- We closely track all ISO standards.
